Andy's Lighthouse was founded in memory of Andrew Bouquard, who was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma just shy of 20 years old. After undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, and a bone marrow transplant at Roswell Park, he went into remission, but his journey changed his life's path. Andrew became a Senior Research Specialist at Roswell Park, often meeting with patients on a friendly level to offer advice and encouragement.

Tragically, on March 7th, 2019, Andrew suffered a fatal heart attack caused by the toll of his cancer treatments. In his honor, his family established an endowment at Roswell Park to support the Adolescent and Young Adult Survivorship Program, which provides much-needed emotional, financial, and physical support to young cancer patients. The endowment has already contributed to this vital program, and the family aims to continue growing its impact.
