A Haven of Compassion and Care for Animals in Need

Cherry Hill Farm Sanctuary, a dedicated non-profit organization located in Genesee Country, is celebrating its remarkable journey of compassion and animal welfare. Founded by Pam Harmon, her husband, and their three daughters, the sanctuary is a beacon of hope for animals in need, embodying a profound commitment to providing lifelong care and respect.

The inspiring story of Cherry Hill Farm Sanctuary began in 2017 when 8-year-old Aubrie Harmon made a heartfelt request for her birthday: to rescue a horse. Her wish led to the creation of a sanctuary that has since grown into a loving home for a diverse array of animals. What started with the rescue of one horse has blossomed into a haven for over 30 horses, more than 100 goats, and an assortment of fowl, rabbits, donkeys, cows, and sheep.

At Cherry Hill Farm Sanctuary, the mission goes beyond mere care. The facility offers a haven for senior animals with specialized dietary and physical needs, as well as those requiring hospice care due to illness or injury. Many of these majestic animals face limited options due to the challenges they endure, making the sanctuary’s role even more crucial. The founding family, who handle every aspect of the sanctuary—from cleaning and feeding to fundraising and medical care—embodies the spirit of dedication and love. Their efforts ensure that each resident animal receives personalized attention and medical care tailored to their individual needs, maintaining their dignity and comfort.

Cherry Hill Farm Sanctuary is committed to offering a safe and nurturing environment where animals can live out their lives with the care they deserve. Unlike many other facilities, Cherry Hill does not adopt out its residents; instead, each animal is guaranteed a permanent, loving home where their well-being is the top priority.

Pam Harmon, the founder of the sanctuary, shares, “Our mission is to provide not only essential care but also a place where every animal can live with dignity and respect. We are deeply grateful for the support from our community, which makes our work possible.”
